After his return from Mexico at the end of the 19th century, Mr. Jose Ma Rivera Corral founded in 1906 in the city of A Coruna the factory "La Estrella de Galicia", dedicated to the manufacture of beers and ice. The name recalls that of his business in Veracruz "La Estrella de Oro", which offered a product with a very small consumption in those times.
Today, Estrella Galicia brews over 300m litres of beer and counting.
